A320 Family : The A320 family is a series of narrow-body airliners developed and produced by Airbus, with seats arranged on a single aisle permitting up to 6-abreast seating in a cabin below 4 meters (13 ft) of width. The A320 was launched in March 1984 and first flew on 22 February 1987. The first member of the family was followed by the longer A321 (first delivered in January 1994), the shorter A319 (April 1996), and the even shorter A318 (July 2003). Final assembly takes place in Toulouse, France; Hamburg, Germany; Tianjin in China (since 2009); and Mobile, Alabama, in the United States (since April 2016). The twinjet is powered by either CFM56 or IAE V2500 turbofans, except the CFM56/PW6000 powered A318.

Market Overview

The Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320 families have long been considered the workhorses of the global aviation sector. Airbus now holds 68 per cent share in the narrow-body aircraft market, off the back of Boeing’s 737 MAX crisis. During the peak production of the Boeing 737 NG and the Airbus ceo family, the market was split 50% / 50% between all aircraft variants of each family of aircraft.

Over 8100 Airbus Family of CEO aircraft have been produced as of 2021.  The family consists of the A318, A319ceo, A320ceo and the A321ceo in a passenger configuration. There is also market interest in freighter versions of both the A320 and A321.
